 ABOUT SCENEPLAY

Sceneplay is a comprehensive resource for the theater experience covering NH, Boston, and northeastern Massachusetts (soon to include more of New England)! It most specifically at this time includes theater reviews. If you're looking for show listings or audition notices, we suggest you check out these resources:
Larry Stark's Theater Mirror
American Theater Web
New England Entertainment Digest

If you have an upcoming show to announce or that you would like us to review, please send the info to director@sceneplay.com and we'll post it. If you have it listed on another webpage, please let us know, as this will accelerate the process.

 STAFF REVIEWERS WANTED

  • Do you love theatre?
  • Do you have an opinion about the shows you see that you would like to share?
  • Are you a good writer?
  • Do you live in the New England area (esp. Northern Mass or NH)

We are currently seeking reviewers, especially for the UNH area, northern NH (above Concord), and Worcester and South of Boston areas. We are also thinking of expanding this to the larger New England area if there is interest from any potential reviewers, so if you're in a different area of New England that has theater you're aware of that could/should be reviewed, please let us know. We would also like some reviewers for the other parts of the theater experience such as getting there info, parking, dining, where to sit in the theater, etc., so if you have opinions on this sort of information, we'd like your help as well.

Once you're accepted as a staff reviewer, perks like complimentary press tickets are available for the shows you review. You don't have to know HTML, just how to send regular email. Please note this is NOT a paid position as we don't get paid to run this site or do reviews either. It's an even exchange of our free publicity for getting to see the shows. For you, it's an opportunity to see the shows, express an opinion about them, and get your views and your writing published. You could also put it on your resume'! Get in touch if you think you might have the right stuff to review for Sceneplay. Let us know your experience in writing and with theater, when you're available, and what sorts of theater you would like to review. If you're really serious and want to be considered for a staff reviewing position, go see a show (even a movie will do), write a review of it, and send it to us for consideration. See How To Write a Sceneplay Review for more specific information.

Section editors are wanted as well to regularly post press releases, audition notices, and show listings. Need to be good at researching and data entry and simply willing to do it.

 SPONSORSHIP

Are you a philanthropic wealthy person or represent a business that would like to donate money to a worthy cause?

It would be really nice to be able to fund this site from other than our own pockets and to eventually to pay our reviewers something for their time and efforts. If you would be interested in sponsoring us, please, please DO! We would appreciate the support! Contact us at director@sceneplay.com. And while you're at it, please check our other site www.metagifted.org. Thanks!
